Pharmacy

The Pharmacy of Wuxi Kaiyi Hospital is a comprehensive medical and technical department integrating clinical pharmacy technical services, drug supply, management and dispensing. It is responsible for three major functions: drug supply, pharmacy technical services, and pharmacy management. The department incorporates central pharmacy, emergency pharmacy, inpatient pharmacy, pharmacy warehouse, clinical pharmacy and other departments. The pharmacy team has 9 professional pharmacists currently. All of them have bachelor's degree, 1 with senior title, 4 with intermediate title and 4 with junior title. 5 of them are licensed pharmacists. It specifically undertakes hospital-wide drug procurement, drug dispensing, special management of antibacterial drugs, prescription review, management of special drugs, participation in clinical drug therapy, supervision and management of standby drug for rescue vehicles in clinical departments, management of drug use in 120 emergency vehicles and monitoring of adverse drug reactions. Currently, under the premise of ensuring the supply of clinical drugs, the main body of work of the pharmacy department has shifted to pharmacy services, participating in clinical treatment teams, establishing a “patient-centered” pharmacy service management model, and carrying out pharmacy services with “Rational Drug Use as the Core”.
