Recently, the Working Group on Safe Hospital Construction in Wuxi has established the Special Evaluation Team for Safe Hospital Construction and conducted the evaluation of safe hospital construction 2021 on the licensed medical institutions in Wuxi, among which, Wuxi Kaiyi Hospital was rated as “Safe Hospital” in Wuxi 2021.

Wuxi Kaiyi Hospital has all along paid high attention to the construction of “safe hospital”, putting the improvement of medical quality and guarantee of medical safety at the first place. Meanwhile, it closely combines the safe hospital construction and medical quality management, and by implementing the core medical systems, it improves the control system of medical quality and enhances the safety management of medical quality.

In 2021, through the continuous improvement of the hospital-department-group three-tier quality control network, the hospital established a management mechanism for functional department managing multi-departmental quality, organized the implementation of overall quality monitoring, in particular, strengthened the supervision and inspection of the execution of core systems in each department, and strictly controlled the basic medical quality and link medical quality to ensure the continuous improvement of medical quality management and medical safety management.

In addition, the complaint signboards were posted and complaint suggestion boxes were set in public areas inside the hospital, and they were both attached with complaint telephone number, email address and other information of the hospital in order to clear and open channels for petitioning and reporting and resolve promptly contradictions between doctors and patients. Regarding production safety, the hospital developed major inspection and training on safe production and security against fire at regular intervals and changes old and damaged fire alerting systems and devices in time to ensure the completeness of firefighting devices, non-obstruction of safe exit and evacuation route and zero accidents.

Moreover, eye-catching publicity banners and posters were hung inside and outside the hospital area to earnestly facilitate in-coming patients. Since the “safe hospital” construction was started, departments of the hospital have shown their active attitude. There were no major disputes and medical safety incidents, no medical responsibility accidents and narcotic drug loss incidents, no major security cases, nor major food poisoning and infectious disease outbreak epidemics occurring in the hospital.

In future, Kaiyi will further consolidate the achievements of the construction of “safe hospital”, take the safe hospital construction as the breakthrough point, keep innovating the management concepts, improve management quality, optimize the medical dispute prevention and handling system and mechanism, strive to establish a medical safety prevention system, crack down on medical related crimes, and effectively maintain normal medical service order, so as to create a good medical environment for broad patients and medical staff and provide powerful backup for deepening the reform on medicine and healthcare system and the construction of “healthy Wuxi” and “Safe Wuxi”.
